Dr. Chavez is working on an outreach program for prevention and control of cancer in Puerto Ricans living in Puerto Rico and Florida. This project is part of the NIH U56 grant to create an outreach program culturally competent and to establish a professional relationship between Moffitt Cancer Institute and Ponce School of Medicine. Dr. Chavez is the Co-PI of this project.
