Oncology Pharmacy Technician Trainee Program

Launch your healthcare career with the Oncology Pharmacy Technician Trainee Program at Moffitt Cancer Center—an immersive, full-time, paid apprenticeship designed to help you become a Licensed Pharmacy Technician in just six months. This unique opportunity combines hands-on training with a web-based curriculum, covering essential topics like pharmacy law, pharmaceutical calculations, and hazardous drug compounding. Moffitt covers all program costs—valued at over $4,000—including licensing fees and certification preparation, making this a no-cost path to a rewarding profession in oncology pharmacy.
As a trainee, you’ll gain real-world experience under the guidance of expert pharmacy preceptors while earning a salary and benefits. Upon successful completion, you’ll be eligible to apply for licensure with the Florida Board of Pharmacy and sit for the national Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) exam. Even better, licensed graduates are eligible for promotion to an Oncology Pharmacy Technician role at Moffitt. If you have a high school diploma and at least six months of experience in healthcare, hospitality, or a service-related field, this is your chance to step into a meaningful, long-term career in one of the nation’s leading cancer centers.
