Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship Application Information
Eligibility Requirements
Eligibility requirements for the Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship:
- MD or DO medical degree
- US Citizenship, Permanent Resident, or J1 Visa Status Eligible through the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG)
- Completing four years of an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB-GYN) residency program, an AOA-approved Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB-GYN) residency program, a Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB-GYN) program with ACGME International (ACGME-I) Advanced Specialty Accreditation, or a Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)-accredited or College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)-accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB-GYN) residency program located in Canada
- United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) or Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination (COMLEX-USA), Step 1, Step 2, and Step 3 exam scores
- Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology (CREOG) exam scores
- Register for the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP)
- American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology Eligible
- Additionally, although not a priority, scholarly experiences in peer-reviewed relevant journals and/or presentations at national conferences are noteworthy

- Three total letters of recommendation - A traditional letter OR the Standard Letter of Evaluation (SLOE):
- Letter from a gynecologic oncologist
- Letter from Residency Program Director (PD) or Chair
- Letter from another gynecologic oncologist, away rotation supervisor (if completed), Residency Program Director or Chair (whichever one was not submitted for the second letter), or current supervisor, is post-residence
- Medical School Diploma or Transcript
- United States Medical Licensing Examination (USLME) OR Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination (COMLEX-USA), Step 1, Step 2, AND Step 3 score reports
- Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology (CREOG) score reports
- Photograph

- Register for National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) for Gyn-Onc
- Apply in the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
Interview invitations sent on May 11, 2026. Interviews in July and August.
