Musculoskeletal Oncology Fellowship
Program Description
The University of South Florida Orthopaedic Musculoskeletal Oncology Fellowship at Moffitt Cancer Center is a one-year program for individuals who have completed an orthopaedic residency and desire to have advanced training in the diagnosis, management and follow-up care for patients with musculoskeletal tumors. Research
Fellows participate in research and also take advantage of the vast array of opportunities at the cancer center - basic science, translational, epidemiology, radiomics, machine learning/artificial intelligence and bioengineering. Our departmental research focuses mostly on clinical outcomes. Fellows have biostatistician support as well as research coordinator/IRB support. There are several intramural funding sources for research, including the Junior Scientist Research Partnership. This is a program pairing a clinical fellow with a postdoc/PhD candidate to work together on a team science collaborative project. Moffitt holds an annual scientific symposium for fellows, residents, post docs and PhDs to present their work. Fellows are encouraged to submit to this as well as to regional, national and international conferences.
