Mascots Bring Joy to Moffitt Patients and Staff
It’s not just another day at the cancer center — it’s Mascots at Moffitt Day! On Sept. 16, mascots from the Tampa Bay Lightning, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, USF Bulls and the Tampa Bay Sun dropped by Moffitt Cancer Center to spread some cheer.
ThunderBug, Captain Fear, Rocky and Solé visited with patients and team members for this time-honored tradition. There was even a surprise visit from Spider-Man courtesy of Joy and Ink.
The mascots jumped in for a flash mob to “Boots on the Ground” in collaboration with Moffitt’s Wellness team and a spirited game of musical chairs. There were smiles, hugs and high-fives all around.
The energy was electric, the laughter was contagious and the celebration was made even more special as everyone rallied to support the 20th anniversary of Miles for Moffitt.
