Riding To Find a Cure for Cancer
On Sunday, about 35 Cure on Wheels cyclists left Moffitt McKinley Hospital to ride 325 miles from Tampa to Tallahassee. The Capitol Ride will arrive Wednesday to kick off the annual Moffitt Day at the Florida Capitol. The day of advocacy recognizes the need for continued legislative support of Moffitt Cancer Center and its mission to contribute to the prevention and cure of cancer. The Cure on Wheels team will present three checks for $40,000 to support prostate cancer research, blood and marrow transplantation services and adolescent and young adult fertility services.
