Tampa Bay Mascots Motivate Patients with a Flash Mob at Moffitt Cancer Center
TAMPA, Fla. — They may represent different teams, but on Sept. 16, mascots for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tampa Bay Lightning, University of South Florida Bulls and Tampa Bay Sun Football Club will unite to spread cheer to cancer patients.
For the ninth year, Captain Fear, ThunderBug, Rocky and Solé will visit Moffitt Cancer Center for the annual Mascots at Moffitt Day event.
Around noon, the foursome will head to Moffitt’s Stabile Research Building to strut their stuff with Moffitt team members during a flash mob. Mascots are often known for their antics and energy that often lift moods and spirits. Fighting cancer is a team effort and team Tampa Bay is ready to show its support.
