I'm Laxmi Swetha Karanam, and I have a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences.  My research experience focused on cancer biology and targeting cancer through different nanoparticle drug delivery systems. My current research focuses on developing 3D in-vitro tumor models to understand tumor microenvironments and cancer mechanotransduction using powerful microscopic techniques and 3D tissue culture platforms. These techniques can provide platforms for better screening of therapeutics and for a better understanding of cancer that can lead to meaningful findings
