Overview
Dr. Becsey received his MD degree from Albert Szent-Gyorgyi Medical University in Szeged, Hungary. He completed an Anesthesiology Residency and Anesthesia Critical Care Fellowship at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. Following his training, Dr. Becsey was appointed as Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at the University of South Florida College of Medicine (2001 – 2004). Since 2004, Dr. Becsey has been employed at the Department of Anesthesiology, Tampa General Hospital Team Health / Gulf to Bay Anesthesia Group, where he also served as Co-Director, Division of Critical Care Anesthesiology. Dr. Becsey was appointed as Affiliate Clinical Associate Professor at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine (2016 - present). Dr. Becsey’s clinical interests include caring for critically ill patients with multiple organ system failure, sepsis/septic shock, neurological and neurosurgical disorders. His research interests include oxygen transport and tissue level oxygenation and metabolism.
