Patient Testimonials

My husband and my best friend, Ralph, was diagnosed with inoperable pancreatic cancer in November 2012. At his first Moffitt oncology appointment on December 3, he enrolled in Total Cancer Care. He wanted to be a part of Moffitt’s research, believing that he needed to “pay it forward.” That research would lead to new discoveries, advancing treatment possibilities and eventually a cure for evil cancer. I firmly believe that Ralph’s participation made today’s treatments a reality and gave hope to current pancreatic patients.
Now, it’s my turn. Prior to having 17 vials of blood drawn on my first visit to Moffitt in July 2024, I enrolled in Total Cancer Care. One of those 17 vials was designated for research. I was diagnosed with CLL - chronic lymphocytic leukemia. My prayer, once again, is that participation in TCC will lead researchers to new technologies and treatments and an end to cancer.

I joined the fight against cancer by enrolling in TCC for a host of reasons: for my loved ones whose cancer impacted me; to stay true to Moffitt's mission statement, "To contribute to the prevention and cure of cancer;" and to hopefully improve the lives of my children and grandchildren.
