Speros: The Future of Oncology is Coming to Pasco County
Big things are coming to Land O’ Lakes, Florida. Beginning in 2026, Moffitt Cancer Center will open the doors to two groundbreaking facilities designed with healing, hope and innovation in mind.

On January 26, 2026, the Moffitt Speros Outpatient Center will welcome patients and families into a space that blends world-class care with the calming beauty of nature. “Speros” is a derivative of the Latin verb “sperare,” which means “to hope” — and that hope is reflected not just in Moffitt’s mission, but in every detail of the new center’s design.
Picture this: floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the grand lobby with natural light, peaceful views of preserved wetlands and a cozy café.
Just a few steps away, the Moffitt Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation Proton Center will open on May 26, 2026, offering one of the most advanced forms of radiation therapy available today—Proton Therapy — a powerful new option in the fight against cancer.
Both centers are part of the larger Speros campus, which also includes the Moffitt Discovery and Innovation Center, where researchers are working every day to bring us closer to a cure.
What Services Will Be Available?
At the new outpatient center, patients will receive the same expert care found at Moffitt’s other locations, including:
- Cancer Screenings
- Diagnostic Imaging
- Blood Draw and Clinical Lab Services
- Infusion Therapy
- Radiation Therapy
- Multi-Specialty Clinics
- Proton Therapy (new)
Whether you’re coming in for a routine screening or advanced treatment, the Speros campus is designed to support you every step of the way—with comfort, compassion and cutting-edge care.
