Complex General Surgical Oncology (CGSO) Fellowship Match
Applicants to the 2025 Surgical Oncology Fellowship Match will submit applications and supporting documents through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). The SSO will not accept applications for the match. Applicants must request a Token from the ERAS Fellowships Documents Office (EFDO) prior to registering on MyERAS, beginning June 6, 2024.

| Application Opens | MyERAS will open for fellowship applicants to register and begin working on their applications on November 13, 2024. MyERAS opens for programs to review applications on December 4, 2024. |
| Application Deadline | The deadline to submit your application via MyERAS is January 13, 2025. No exceptions will be made. |
| Interviews |
Interviews will take place February 1, 2025 – May 31, 2025. For the 2025 CGSO Fellowship Program interview period, programs may elect to hold either virtual or in-person interviews. There should be one declared approach at each institution, either virtual or in-person, and no hybrid combination of both approaches. However, each program can make exceptions to accommodate individuals with extenuating circumstances. Exceptions should not result in a hybrid approach where virtual interviews are taking place on the same day as in-person interviews. The SSO supports the autonomy of each program to choose the format that best meets their needs and the needs of their fellowship candidates. |
| Rank Order List Entry (via NRMP) |
The Ranking Entry process will be conducted through the National Residency Match Program (NRMP®). Program candidates must register with the NRMP® (even if you have utilized the R3 system before). Please do this by going to Registration, Ranking, and Results® (R3®) system, using a unique email, username and password. Registration opens on March 12, 2025 Rank Order List Opens: April 16, 2025 Quota Changes Due: May 21, 2025 Rank Order List Deadline: June 4, 2025 |

| Fellowship Start Date | August 1, 2026 – Exceptions: University of Toronto, University of British Columbia, and McGill University start date is July 1. |
