Flow Cytometry
Extensive 10-color flow cytometry panels are utilized to simultaneously detect multiple cellular characteristics of single-cells and perform complex analysis to accurately identify populations of abnormal cells in blood, bone marrow, and other tissues. Flow cytometry is an important tool utilized to aid in the diagnosis and evaluation of patients with hematologic malignancies and also to assess the immune status of post-transplant patients.

HLA
Histocompatibility testing is performed to identify which human leukocyte antigen (HLA) genes and antigens a person has inherited, in order to match up donors and recipients of bone marrow transplants. Genotype analysis based on population genetics, including linkage disequilibrium analysis and family segregation analysis is used to accurately determine HLA typing results.

Molecular Diagnostics
The molecular laboratory performs a wide variety of oncology related assays to assist in disease diagnosis, selection of targeted therapies, and monitoring of patients following bone marrow transplant. Testing includes engraftment (chimerism) analysis to evaluate the level of donor versus recipient cells in post-transplant peripheral blood or bone marrow specimens.
