Moffitt Cancer Center accepts applications for the Student Volunteer Program in the fall. Applications for the college student application program will be open from July 28, 2025 to 4:30 p.m. August 8, 2025.

Applicants for the Student Volunteer Program must:

  • Be 18 or older and enrolled as a full-time or part-time student in any college or university
  • Commit to volunteering for a minimum of two semesters (fall and spring)
  • Complete the online application
  • Attend a health screening and be cleared by Occupational Health
  • Attend one mandatory general orientation session:
    • 8/25/2025 – 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.
    • 9/2/2025 – 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.
    • 9/8/2025 – 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.
  • Pass a background check

Due to the program's competitiveness, if the number of applications exceeds the available volunteer shifts, a lottery will be conducted to determine selection. Our goal is to meet the needs of the cancer center and, at the same time, ensure that each volunteer's time is well utilized and that you enjoy your volunteer assignment. However, volunteers are scheduled for assignments based on the priority needs of the organization and availability. If you are not selected for the Fall 2025 program, we encourage you to apply for the Fall 2026 program.
