Moffitt Cancer Center accepts applications for the Student Volunteer Program in the fall. Applications for the college student application program will be open from August 3, 2026 to 4:30 p.m., August 21, 2026.

Applicants for the Student Volunteer Program must:

Be at least 18 years old
Be enrolled as a full-time or part-time student in any college or university
Commit to volunteering for a minimum of two semesters (fall and spring)
Complete the online application
Attend a health screening and be cleared by Occupational Health
Pass a background check
Attend one mandatory virtual general orientation session, 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m (dates TBD)

Due to the program's competitiveness, if the number of applications exceeds the available volunteer shifts, a lottery will be conducted to determine selection. Our goal is to meet the needs of the cancer center and, at the same time, ensure that each volunteer's time is well utilized and that you enjoy your volunteer assignment. However, volunteers are scheduled for assignments based on the priority needs of the organization and availability. If you are not selected for the Fall 2026 program, we encourage you to apply for the Fall 2027 program.
