Dr. Matthew Schabath
As the Co-Principal Investigators (PIs) of Moffitt Cancer Center’s Total Cancer Care Protocol, we are proud to lead this groundbreaking initiative that advances cancer research and care.
Dr. Matthew Schabath, a Moffitt Distinguished Scholar, Co-Leader of the Cancer Epidemiology Program, and Senior Member in the Departments of Cancer Epidemiology and Thoracic Oncology, brings extensive expertise in quantitative imaging and biomarker development.

Dr. Trejo Bittar
Dr. Humberto Trejo Bittar, an Associate Member in Pathology, Section Head of Thoracic Pathology, and Director of Moffitt Autopsy Service, specializes in lung neoplasms and non-neoplastic lung conditions. His research focuses on genomic alterations in lung carcinomas and enhancing staging techniques for lung cancers.
Our work aims to foster impactful collaborations locally, nationally and internationally to improve cancer outcomes for all. We extend our deepest gratitude to the more than 256,000 patients who have participated in TCC over the years. Your contributions have been invaluable in shaping cancer research and treatment. Together, we look forward to continuing this important journey, driving discoveries and making a lasting impact in the fight against cancer.
