Matt Bednar

Vice President, Ambulatory and Virtual Care Operations

Matt Bednar is the Vice President, Ambulatory and Virtual Care Operations.

Prior to joining Moffitt, Bednar spent five years in leadership roles with the Orlando Health Physicians Group. As director, he was responsible for the Orlando Health Network operations team, physician performance and analytics. He led efforts to better understand and use performance metrics by driving process and policy changes within the Orlando Health practices. He accomplished such initiatives as redesigning the practice business review process and performance variance reports, as well as mentoring many of the physician group managers.

Prior to his work with Orlando Health Physicians Group, Bednar spent seven years at Emory Healthcare in Atlanta, where he held senior leadership positions in the academic section of Medicine.

Bednar received his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He earned a Master of Public Administration in Health Services Management through the NYU Wagner Health Policy and Management program.
