Melissa Smith

Melissa Smith joined Moffitt in 2005 and brings nearly two decades of experience across finance, clinical operations and research administration. She spent 13 years in Finance, supporting Research Finance and Financial Analysis, and later served four years as Malignant Hematology department administrator. Most recently, she served as senior director of Clinical and Research Integration, where she played a key role in developing the physician and advanced practice provider (APP) practice at Moffitt's ambulatory centers (MACs).

Throughout her career at Moffitt, Smith has built strong, trusted relationships across clinical, research and administrative teams — an essential foundation for continued collaboration and financial stewardship. She holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of South Florida, a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Florida State University and is a Florida‑licensed Certified Public Accountant.
