Moffitt Cancer Center’s IT Applications team has an exciting opportunity to be part of our Epic journey. We are currently hiring an experienced Director to lead our Research & Clinical Trials analyst team, and experienced application Analysts (II, III and IV) to join our build team.

Epic Research Director - $10K Sign-On Bonus

The Epic Research Director is a critical member of the Clinical Applications IT leadership team. This role leads the design, implementation, management, and ongoing optimization of research functions within the Epic EHR system in support of Moffitt's research workflows and initiatives. This leader will have oversight for integrating the Epic modules and features to support research administration, clinical trials management, streamline workflows, and enhance the research experience within the organization. They will work closely with research staff, clinical staff, IT professionals, and key stakeholders across the organization.

This is a hybrid job located in Tampa, FL

Responsibilities
- Manage the technical Epic research team, including recruitment, performance, and professional development
- Collaborate with clinical research, operational, and IT stakeholders to design and implement workflows.
- Manage and mentor team, monitor budgets, enforce service delivery, and ensure system performance/uptime.
- Manage the operational and capital budgets for Epic systems and adjacent systems that support research
- Support governance, manage vendor relations, and ensure adherence to standards and policies.
- Lead change management efforts to ensure adoption of new EHR functionalities, related to research in support of ongoing optimizations.
- Drive enhancements in workflow, quality, safety, cost-efficiency, and user satisfaction.
- Functions as an expert in both the implementation and effective use of EHR technology.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree – Computer Science or Healthcare Administration
- Minimum 10 years in healthcare IT, with 8+ years of experience within Epic environment
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience
- Strong systems implementation and integration experience.
- Epic certifications in relevant modules preferred.
- Deep domain knowledge of Epic research modules, inclusive of Beacon.
- Understanding of research and/or clinical trials space within the healthcare environment.
- Ability to work onsite at our Tampa Florida campus on a regular basis.

Epic Clinical Applications Analyst IV (Radiant/Cupid)

The Clinical Applications Analyst IV plays a strategic role in advancing Moffitt’s mission to prevent and cure cancer by leading enterprise-wide initiatives involving clinical and integrated applications that impact patient care, research, and organizational excellence. This senior-expert role drives technical strategy, manages complex projects, mentors analysts across multiple levels, and ensures innovative, secure, and highly reliable technology solutions. By aligning technology initiatives with clinical and research priorities, the Analyst IV helps enable world-class cancer care and discovery at Moffitt.

Responsibilities
The Clinical Applications Analyst IV will work within the Epic Radiant and Cupid environments to:
- Lead the planning, design, development, validation, implementation, testing, evaluation, and maintenance of highly complex, enterprise-wide clinical and integrated systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve multifaceted technology issues spanning applications, software, hardware, interfaces, databases, and system security.
- Perform quality assurance and integrated testing of current and newly released vendor functionality to ensure enterprise reliability.
- Coordinate and lead projects across multiple applications, developing enterprise-wide enhancements, reports, and process improvements aligned with organizational priorities.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to Analysts I–III, fostering professional growth and knowledge sharing.
- Engage in strategic enterprise initiatives and serve as a technical and clinical systems subject matter expert.
- Provide 24/7 support for enterprise applications within scope of accountability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IS, Healthcare, or related field of study is required.
- Current Epic Certification in Radiant and Cupid required. Lumens is preferred. Data Courier/Decision Tree badge preferred.
- Professional level certification from an accredited organization in relevant informatics, health information technology, clinical or business specialties preferred.
- 10+ years applicable system build experience; expert-level, enterprise-wide impact. Prior Epic implementation experience strongly preferred.
- Proven leadership and project management experience.
- Experience building, testing, and optimizing workflows in Epic Radiant and Cupid modules; Lumens experience preferred.
- Willingness to travel to remote sites as applicable
- Ability to travel to our Tampa Florida campus required based on project/team needs.

Epic Clinical Applications Analyst III (Beaker)

The Epic Beaker Clinical Applications Analyst Ill plays a vital role in advancing Moffitt's mission to prevent and cure cancer by leading the design, implementation, and optimization of clinical and enterprise applications that directly support patient care, research, and operational excellence. This senior-level role drives technical solutions and strategic initiatives, manages complex project responsibilities, and mentors junior analysts. By ensuring reliable, secure, and innovative technology solutions, the Analyst Ill helps empower clinicians, researchers, and staff to deliver world-class cancer care and discovery.

Responsibilities
The Clinical Applications Analyst III will work within the Epic Beaker environment to:
- Plan, design, develop, validate, test, implement, evaluate, maintain, and provide on-going trouble-shooting and support comprehensive information system components to meet needs and business requirements.
- Perform quality assurance and integrated testing of current and newly released vendor functionality to ensure system reliability.
- Coordinate projects across applications and develop application-specific enhancements and reports in alignment with organizational priorities.
- Develops and maintains system documentation for build specifications.
- Mentor and guide junior Analyst team members on technical tasks and processes.
- Provide 24/7 support for information systems within accountability and/or enterprise-wide applications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, IS, Healthcare, or related field of study is required. An Associate's degree plus (two) 2 additional years of experience (for a total of 8 years) may be considered, in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
- Current Epic certification in Beaker Clinical Pathology (CP) required. Beaker Anatomic Pathology (AP), Bridges, and Instrumentation Integration certifications are strongly preferred. Data Courier (badge) is preferred.
- 6 years of applicable system build experience with a high-level enterprise-wide impact, including within the Epic environment is required.
- Expert level experience building, installing, optimizing, upgrading and maintaining Epic Beaker modules
- Proven project management and team leadership experience
- Ability to prepare documentation and present work
- Willingness to travel to remote sites as needed
- Ability to travel to our Tampa Florida campus required based on project/business needs

Epic Clinical Applications Analyst II (Research Tools)

The Epic Research Clinical Tools Analyst II advances Moffitt’s mission to prevent and cure cancer by contributing to the design, implementation, and support of clinical and enterprise applications that improve patient care, research, and operational performance. This mid-level role manages technical solutions for moderately complex projects, collaborates with clinical and operational teams, and provides guidance to junior analysts. By ensuring effective and reliable technology solutions, The Analyst II empowers staff and clinicians to deliver exceptional cancer care and research outcomes.

Responsibilities
- Plan, design, configure, build, test, implement and maintain clinical and enterprise applications, including moderately complex system components.
- Troubleshoot multifaceted issues spanning software, hardware, interfaces, and databases.
- Monitors system performance
- Perform quality assurance and integrated testing to ensure application reliability and alignment with organizational standards.
- Support projects and develop application-specific enhancements and reports to support clinical and operational priorities.
- Develop and maintain system documentation for build specifications.

- Provide 24/7 operational support for assigned applications and participate in on-call rotations as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (Business, IS, Healthcare, or related field of study required). Associate's Degree + 2 additional years of applicable experience (minimum total of 5 years) will be considered in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
- Epic Certification in Research Clinical Tools is required: Epic Research/Epic Clinical Trials/Epic Beacon w/ Ambulatory/Epic Genomics
- 3 years of system build experience; high level complexity, in an Epic environment
- Advanced knowledge of application support and development.
- Experience with workflow analysis or development of application solutions preferred.
- Knowledge of clinical, business, and/or operational healthcare hospital/clinic workflows preferred.
- Professional level certification from an accredited organization in relevant informatics, health information technology, clinical or business specialties preferred.
- Excellent presentation and documentation skills.
- Ability to travel to our Tampa Florida campus required based on project/business needs.
