When a pirate, a bug and a bull walk into a cancer center, there’s no telling what will happen. On Aug. 28, Captain Fear, ThunderBug and Rocky rushed the halls of Moffitt Cancer Center for the annual Mascots at Moffitt Day.

As proud partners of the Tampa Bay BuccaneersTampa Bay Lightning and the University of South Florida Bulls, Moffitt welcomed these larger-than-life characters and cheerleaders to spread joy across campus.

After visiting patients, the trio jumped right into a team member pep rally aimed at raising awareness around Miles for Moffitt, the cancer center’s largest community fundraiser that will take place Nov. 23 at Amalie Arena.

Fighting cancer is a team effort, and Team Tampa Bay always shows up to support the mission to contribute to the prevention and cure of cancer.
