George Edgecomb Society eLetter: June 2025
Dear Friends,
As we share the latest edition of our newsletter, we are reminded of the strength and spirit of the community that powers the George Edgecomb Society. We are especially moved by the recent passing of Muriel Brathwaite – a woman of deep conviction, global impact and heartfelt dedication to leveling the playing field and giving everyone the best chance for the best outcomes. Her legacy is one of action, compassion and visionary support of cancer research that will uplift generations to come.
In this issue we also shine a light on the meaningful work happening across the cancer center, from our Corporate Partners in Health engaging with research in the community, such as events that raise awareness of cancers like multiple myeloma, which disproportionately affect Black communities. We’re proud to continue our focus on helping communities through education, innovation and partnership.
Thank you for being a part of this journey. Your continued support drives progress and brings us closer to a future where everyone has access to the very best cancer care.
To learn more about how you can get involved, contact us through the George Edgecomb Society webpage or call the Moffitt Foundation directly at (813) 745-1403.
