Proton Precision. Human Expertise.

Moffitt is bringing the most advanced cancer-killing technology to the greater Tampa Bay area

The First and Most Advanced Proton Therapy System for Cancer Treatment in Tampa Bay

The Proteus®ONE, a new generation, compact, single-room proton therapy system developed by IBA, offers unparalleled precision in cancer treatment.

Moffitt Cancer Center is bringing the most advanced proton therapy system to the greater Tampa Bay area: The Proteus®ONE.

Proton therapy is one of the most advanced cancer treatment technologies available. While conventional radiation uses photons, proton therapy uses protons, or positively charged atomic particles. Protons can be precisely controlled to release much of their energy directly into the tumor, thereby reducing damage to nearby healthy tissue.

This transformative technology positions Moffitt at the forefront of cancer care and offers patients access to highly effective, minimally invasive treatments that produce better outcomes.

Our patients deserve the best technology, and not all proton therapy systems offer the same level of precision and effectiveness as the next-generation Proteus®ONE model.
