Overview
Dr. Mahil received his MD degree from the University of Illinois, College of Medicine, and completed an Anesthesiology Residency at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago. In 2013, Dr. Mahil joined East Jefferson General Hospital in Metairie, Louisiana, where he served as Vice Chair of the Anesthesia Department from 2014 to 2016. Dr. Mahil joins us from the Anesthesia Service Medical Group, Inc., San Diego, California. Dr. Mahil’s clinical and research interests include the medical optimization of patients undergoing surgery with a focus on ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve blocks, regional anesthesia, difficult airway management and multimodal approaches to pain management.
