Overview
Dr. Bailey received his MD degree from the University of Kentucky. He then completed a combined residency in internal medicine and psychiatry at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Following his residency, he was appointed to the faculty at Tulane serving as an assistant professor of psychiatry and adjunct assistant professor of internal medicine. While at Tulane, Dr. Bailey served as a supervisor and lecturer for the medical residents and provided patient care across a variety of settings. His clinical experience includes outpatient psychiatric and inpatient consult-liaison psychiatric care, inpatient/hospitalist medicine, and addiction psychiatry. Dr. Bailey’s clinical and research interests include understanding and supporting adaptation to illness and the management of existential distress.
