  • Research Interest

Dr. Oswald’s research focuses on developing and evaluating interventions to promote optimal psychosocial functioning among diverse cancer populations, assessing mechanisms through which interventions affect psychological and biological outcomes, and expanding the reach of evidence-based resources for enhancing coping and promoting quality of life throughout cancer survivorship via eHealth and mHealth platforms.  Dr. Oswald’s research focuses on understanding how novel cancer therapies affect patient-reported outcomes (PROs), such as quality of life and symptom burden, to better understand post-treatment outcomes and to identify opportunities for behavioral interventions to improve outcomes. In addition, Dr. Oswald uses patient feedback about their lived experiences to develop and test evidence-based behavioral interventions to improve psychosocial outcomes for diverse cancer populations.
