Opening Soon - Moffitt Discovery and Innovation Center at Speros

The Moffitt Discovery and Innovation Center is a state-of-the-art cancer research facility located at Moffitt Cancer Center's Speros campus. Opening in mid-August, the 250,000-square-foot building is designed to advance groundbreaking cancer research, foster scientific collaboration and support future discoveries that will improve cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment.

A Hub for Cancer Research and Scientific Discovery

The Discovery and Innovation Center includes research laboratories, collaborative gathering spaces and flexible infrastructure that can adapt to the evolving needs of scientific research.

The four-story facility includes:

• 250,000 square feet of dedicated research space
• Advanced Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2) laboratories
• A vivarium to support translational cancer research
• Two floors reserved for future expansion
• Central interaction spaces that encourage collaboration across disciplines
• Scenic views of the campus' protected wetlands that connect innovation with the natural environment

The Discovery and Innovation Center is adjacent to the Moffitt at Speros Outpatient Center and Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation Proton Therapy Center. Over the next decade and beyond, Speros will continue to grow with new research facilities, collaborative gathering spaces and strategic partnerships that advance Moffitt's mission to contribute to the prevention and cure of cancer.
