Starlight Wellness Room
The Starlight Wellness Room at McKinley Outpatient Center provides patients, their families and caregivers with a peaceful space to relax before or after treatment. The room uses specialized technology to create an immersive sensory experience by filling the room with images of stars and drifting clouds on the walls and ceiling, creating a soothing atmosphere. A flickering campfire light and an outdoor noise machine enhance the relaxing environment.
The Starlight Wellness Room supports Moffitt's holistic approach to cancer care. The space helps patients and caregivers find moments of calm and comfort by addressing the emotional and psychological challenges that often accompany treatment.
Moffitt McKinley patients, their families and caregivers are welcome to visit the Starlight Wellness Room, located on the second floor around the corner from the elevators, anytime to find moments of peace, comfort and care.
