Dr. Ana Aluisy Accepted to the 2025 Harvard RMSO Workshop

Dr. Ana Aluisy, an applied postdoctoral fellow under the mentorship of Dr. Dina Martinez-Tyson (Health Outcomes and Behavior Program) who is part of the T32 in Behavioral Oncology led by Drs. Susan Vadaparampil and Vani Simmons. Dr. Aluisy recently received the honor of being accepted into the 2025 Harvard Workshop on Research Methods in Supportive Oncology (RMSO).
The Harvard RMSO Workshop is an NCI-funded intensive six-day workshop that provides an overview of fundamental methods, such as study designs, qualitative and survey methods and approaches to data analysis in supportive oncology research.
“Being new to cancer research, I hope to gain a deeper understanding of research methodologies that are specific to supportive oncology," said Dr. Aluisy. "In addition, I hope to build relationships with mentors and potential collaborators from around the country. It is an honor… I hope that this experience opens doors for future funding opportunities."
This milestone is a significant step forward in Dr. Aluisy's career, marking her growing presence in the field and her dedication to improving the lives of those affected by cancer. Through this experience, she aims to contribute to the development of innovative, supportive care strategies that can positively impact patients' journeys with cancer.
